At the AJAXWorld 2008 East Conference, DreamFace Interactive
announced the availability of “Outsider”, a major new version of their
DreamFace Web 2.0 Framework, for creating Enterprise 2.0 Composite Applications
and Mashups. DreamFace builds on the concepts of Web 2.0: Do IT Yourself,
Personalization and Sharing and extends them to provide the next generation Web
2.0 experience, targeting the enterprise with a solution to the data
integration problem through secure client side integration.
In addition, DreamFace introduced a number of innovations
like Interactive Datawidgets, data intelligent widgets that update and interact
with other Datawidgets. Web Programs, Web Channels, personalization and sharing
of Web 2.0 applications are also features of this Enterprise 2.0 Framework.
DreamFace also announced “The DreamFace Developer Challenge
@ AjaxWorld East,” to get the new version into the hands of Web 2.0 developers.
DreamFace “Outsider” turns Web 2.0 Concepts into Enterprise
2.0 Features
The DreamFace Web 2.0 Framework is built around a concept,
the Persona, defining the core set of individual user options, parameters,
preferences, history and context of interactive Web applications. Each
individual Persona, defined by users themselves, drives the execution of
DreamFace Web applications, called WebPrograms, delivering a fully customized experience.
The Persona-driven presentation of the user interface, called WebChannel,
renders WebPrograms, either from one's own design or shared from a community of
users-publishers, in a completely personalized flow. With DreamFace Personas,
WebPrograms, WebChannels, and DataWidgets, Web 2.0 applications are built for
change from the start. DreamFace users can get a head start with preassembled
generic models that developers can use and modify to create their own
application. And with DreamFace developers can provide customized environments
for their tech-savvy business users to create their own personalized and
shareable “Do IT Yourself” Enterprise Web 2.0 Mashups.
Create IT, Personalize IT and Share IT with DreamFace
When it comes to Web
2.0 concepts, sharing is of one of the most important. DreamFace completely
sets itself apart from the competition with its ability to share web screens
through a simple import/export mechanism. Users can personalize a page with
complex DataWidgets and their interactions, export it to an XML file, email the
file to a friend or colleague, and that colleague can import it and personalize
it for their own use. Then they can share it with their network.
